The next challenger to Dave Reichert in 2010 - Suzan DelBene
During my PCO training last weekend, I had the opportunity to listen to Suzan DelBene, a Democratic challenger to Dave Reichert in 8th Congressional District in 2010. As a Northwest business woman having started several businesses, she feels that she can contribute to the recovery from this economic downturn. Since she is not a career politician, she felt it necessary to declare her candidacy early and build her network of supporters.
My immediate reaction: Suzan comes across as a very personable woman. She has an impressive record of leadership helping business startups. She has a record of job creation with her several start-ups. However I feel that Suzan needs to spearhead a "killer" cause that can trump David Reichert's hunt of the Green River Killer and lifelong police career culminating as a King County Sheriff. Her cause would need to be something that would give her name recognition in the 8th CD. Perhaps we can help her find that cause and help her with it.
