Election Day & Night Activities - From 5th LD Email
Wave if you're a Democrat
Election Day is here, and some of you may be planning on being "sick" today, have the day off, or might be considering calling in so that you can be involved in the most important election of the last 100 years. If so, please consider the following;
The rally point for the Obama Campaign for Change in the 5th LD is Gibson Hall (the Kiwanis building) directly behind the salmon hatchery in downtown Issaquah. We will be doing sign waving all day at various locations throughout Issaquah, Sammamish, and Snoqualmie. If you have some time, please join us for a good hour or two on the street.
Get Out the Vote Effort
The 5th District Democrats will be coordinating all of our Get Out the Vote activities at Gibson Hall in Issaquah, 105 Newport Way S.W., directly behind the fish hatchery. We will be scheduling rides to the polls and making our voting reminder phone calls from there.
If you can help, drive, call, wave, or just want to pitch in doing whatever comes up, we'd love to have you join us!
The building does not have adequate phone lines, so please bring your cell phone if you have one. If you would like more information on how to be a part of history, call Robin at 425-281-8001 or drop by Gibson Hall on Tuesday.
Celebration at Tibbets Creek Manor
It's been a long and hard campaign season, and we are proud of our 5th District Democratic Candidates for the fine job they have done. They have also been kind enough to be our hosts for a party for the 5th district membership this Tuesday evening. Come and celebrate the end of the campaign season, and cheer for Democratic victory on election night!
The party will be held from 7 to 11 PM at Tibbets Creek Manor in Issaquah. Please vote first, but come and bring your friends and kids. We'll have election returns, good cheer, and food and drinks.
