- I have lived in North Bend for 25 years and recently decided to get involved in local politics after witnessing unbelievable actions by the Republicans to defeat Obama at any cost.
True leadership does not always mean making popular decisions.
I admire leadership that leads by doing the right thing, not just going with what is in the party platform, or what the polls indicate, or after striking a deal or just to defeat the opposing party. It takes real leadership to have the vision to make decisions you believe in despite the resistance to it.
