I've known many people who called themselves Republicans who didn't know they were actually Democrats. Most of them just labeled themselves the way their families did. One was an ardent supporter of NOW, considered herself a feminist, and believed in equal rights for everyone. She finally began to realize her true party and changed affiliation accordingly.

Thanks for reaching out to me Patrick. I am a lowly retired pschotherapist/writer/management trainer/growth coach/everywoman person. But I am very interested in your concept of Responsible Marketing. I also distribute a great product through a MLM and would like to here your take on that way of doing business. My product is ReLiv, a nutritional food supplement that has made my life and those of so many others better by way of providing the body with the nutrients it needs. Still, the marketing part eludes me. Thanks for any consideration.

Loved your photos. Loved your disclosure concerning being a recovering Republican. I believe our country needs the diversity thoughtful people who make their own decisions, such as you have done, bring!

Profile Information

I support:
Barack Obama
About Me:
PROFESSIONAL

Professionally, I'm the President + CEO of Outsource Marketing (http://outsourcemarketing.com) and blog most weekdays on The Responsible Marketing Blog (http://responsiblemarketing.com). I'm also writing a book on the topic.

POLITICAL

Although I've personally met Hillary (and her husband Bill and then VP Al Gore), I'm a Barack supporter.

My deep, dark secret is that I'm a recovering Republican. I doorbelled for Ford/Dole in 1976 (at age 10), met Ronald Reagan, co-chartered the Gonzaga University College Republicans, and eventually served as Credentials Chair at the Spokane County Republican Convention in 1988. At that convention I heard things that made me shudder, and I began to question all my political views.

In 1992, I was asked to run for the legislature as a Republican, but by that time I had left the dark side and had been involved in a number of liberal causes. I voted a straight Democratic that year, and have continued to do so ever since.

Don't worry, I won't suffer a relapse. I'm a LIBERAL and proud of it.

I'm a delegate for Obama to the Washington State Convention and am mulling running as a national delegate.

PERSONAL

Lived in Seattle from 1992 until 2001, when I moved to the Issaquah Highlands. I've been married for eight years and have two beautiful children (a boy and a girl), aged 5 and 3 1/2.

An inside look at the birth of the Obama brand

I wrote about this topic a few days ago. With the holidays and weather, I'm just getting around to posting it now.

You don't have to care about marketing to find this topic interesting.

Change you can believe in starts at CHANGE.GOV

Obama's President-Elect website Change.Gov leaves me speechless.

Wow.

If they are doing what it looks like the are doing, real change has arrived.

Most impressive.

Which team would you hire? Educational backgrounds compared

You are The Boss... which team would you hire?

With America facing historic debt, multiple war fronts, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, skyrocketing Federal spending, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures, etc. etc., this is an unusually critical election year.

Let's look at the educational background of your two options:

Obama:
Occidental College - Two years. Columbia University - B.A. political science with a specialization in international rela… Continue
