- I am excited about ths election in ways I have never been before. When I was a young girl, I was in awe as I listened to JFK. As a young woman, I strongly supported McGovern and did what I could to help him. This time is different. At my age, I can once again believe in the political process. Yes, we must take back America. Yes, we will continue the struggle for social justice. Yes, we will send Darcy Burner to the House and Barack Obama to the White House.
